Cost to Open a Stepz Fitness

  • You can own a Stepz Fitness Club with an investment from only $150,000. This includes all the equipment, security system, aesthetic fitout, signage, initial marketing and training. Everything you need to start signing up your new members and training your clients.

Compared to some other gym franchise systems, Stepz Fitness is a fairly low-investment proposition.

We’ve adopted a uniform store design that not only makes the best use of space but saves on cost and time; there’s no reinvention of the wheel with our Club design.

The costs of establishment will vary depending on a range of factors, including the particular location, size and market etc. of each Stepz Fitness gym. For this reason, a range of costs (low to high) is provided to reflect this. These estimates have been based on either actual expenses incurred in establishing an existing company owned gyms or on industry experience. They are provided to assist you in forming your own estimates.

The estimates below are based on the following:
The gym is approximately 120 – 225 square metres and the fit-out costs are based on the necessary costs to fit-out this size gym
This size gym can support from 456 to 855 members (approximately 3.8 per square metre)
Gym equipment is purchased outright. There is the option to lease gym equipment and so this cost may be evenly spread over 5 years. However, in order to remain conservative, the full cost is shown here.
All figures are exclusive of GST

    • Additional Items and cost that may arise due to location and size of the premises nominated by the Franchisee to include but are not limited to the following:

Town Planning Approvals ($5000 – $40,000), Extra Gym Equipment, Lease Guarantees ($12,000 – $40,000), Deposit Bonds, Equipment Finance Deposits ($10,000 – $35,000), Structural and extra-ordinary changes to the premises ($10,000 – $100,000), additional CCTV Cameras, and other items related to the operations of the franchise business.
